August 16 - Dutch icon Flipje was added to Madurodam
Today, August 16, Dutch icon Flipje unveiled a miniature of himself, together with Madurodam mayor Djoeke Siemssen.
July 21 - Renewed Basilica Sint-Jan in Madurodam
On July 21 Alderman Jaimani Ladi unveiled the renewed model of the Basilica Sint-Jan in Madurodam. This model replaced the wooden model from 1974.
May 31 - Beeld en Geluid newest addition to Madurodam
On May 31 Madurodam mayor Djoeke Siemssen and CEO of Beeld en Geluid Jan Müller unveiled Madurodams latest addition: the colourful building of Beeld en Geluid. It houses the sound an adiovisual archives of the Netherlands.
April 29 - Russian football player Dimitri Bulykin
Dimitri Bulykin, the Russian football star, visited Madurodam on April 29. The top scorer of the football club ADO The Hague was there for an interview with the best known football magazine in Russia: Total Football Magazine.
